Moonshine runner Gator McKlusky (Burt Reynolds) is on the run again in this sequel to 'White Lightning' - or so he thinks. In fact, the Feds want him to go undercover for them and investigate his old friend, Bama McCall (Jerry Reed), who is now a crime boss. Gator is reluctant until he discovers that his former pal is now heavily into extortion, prostitution, and plenty besides - he will even resort to murder when necessary!
