Rebel (DVD)

Good-willed Kamal, longing for a change in his life, decides to leave Belgium to help the victims of the war in Syria. There he drifts to join ISIS, gets stuck in Raqqa and is branded a terrorist in the West. At home, his little brother Nassim becomes an easy target for radical recruiters who promise to take him to his brother. Their single mother Leila fights to protect the only thing she still has: her youngest son. The anti-radicalization film by directors Adil El Arbi and BilallFallah premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year and was considered one of the festival's most challenging films. The action-oriented director duo has previously directed, for example, the films Bad Boys for Life and episodes of the series Ms. Marvel.
