The tactical Fortis Fidelis Axe got its name from the Chilean Marine Corps motto, which is "Fortis Atque Fidelis" (Strong as well as Faithful). More than 200 years ago, the "soldiers of the sea" received the mission of constituting an Assault Force, for which they fired their rifles and handled blade weapons, such as the "machete" and the "boarding axes."
